Job summary

Civil Recruit is seeking an Field Service/Start-Up Engineer III to perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor equipment at customer locations. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, Linux familiarity, and the ability to work independently or with a team to minimize downtime.

Travel up to 50% with weekends at home; training provided. A four-year degree in engineering or a two-year technical degree is preferred and prior field service experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
• 4+ years in maintenance, repair or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use proper tools
• Excellent customer interface and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site service and repair of semiconductor equipment

• Order and install parts and respond to emergency service calls
• Instruct customer technicians on system operation and maintenance
• Perform upgrades and modifications as needed

Approximately 50% applications, 30% hands on tool work, and 20%

Mechanical experience, computer proficiency, and ability to work

independently and collaboratively. Must be comfortable setting up tools,

demonstrating their use, and entering code in a Linux enviroment;

training available

Education: Four year degree or minimum 2 year technical degree required.

Military candidates with applicable technical exp may also be considered

Preferred Background: Revelant industry exp or technical exp in the Air

Responsibilities ? Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor

records and reports as required ? Coordinates activities with peers,

supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and

interruptions ? Orders and installs parts ? Responds to emergency

service calls as required ? Instructs customer operating technicians on

system operation and maintenance ? Perform upgrades and modifications to

equipment as needed ? Remain current on equipment/tools through

appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant

materials ? Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and

security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc. ? Employees

must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEA and

customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)

understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair

and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are

required Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands

described herein are representative of those that must be met by an

employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room

environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical

aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 50

pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May

require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include

application of proper industry safety procedures when working with

dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or

high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional travel

to TEL factories, training facilities and customer locations may be

required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close

vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the

ability to adjust focus. A clean room garment may be required to be worn

for lengthy periods of time. PPE is Required including, not limited to,

consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap. Job

duties may require walking up to and in excess of 10,000 steps and

walking up and down multiple flights of stairs per shift (12 hours).

Occasional overnight travel to TEL factory, training facilities and
