Join Zeeco, the global leader in combustion and environmental solutions equipment providers, as a Field Service Vapor Specialist in our Vapor Control Group. You’ll work on cutting‑edge vapor recovery and combustion systems that keep the environment cleaner and equipment running safely. Responsibilities
  • Preventative & Emergency Maintenance – Provide on‑call, after‑hours support (24/7) to troubleshoot and resolve unplanned equipment shutdowns, both onsite and remotely.
  • System Commissioning, Retrofits & Upgrades – Help launch and improve new and existing vapor control and product loading equipment.
  • Tech‑Driven Problem Solving – Apply electrical, mechanical, and automation skills to diagnose and fix issues using PLCs, software tools, and instrumentation.
  • Customer Service & Reporting – Document and identify all service tasks, recommend system improvements, and ensure high‑quality communication with customers and internal teams.
  • Compliance & Safety – Maintain and operate company‑provided tools, assets, and vehicles, meet all safety requirements, and always put safety first.
Qualifications
  • Electrical skills equivalent to Journeyman level or a 2‑year instrumentation engineering certificate.
  • Work experience that shows 4+ years in instrumentation, electrical and controls repair and replacement in a similar field.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • Familiarity with PLC systems, basic programming, and hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong working knowledge of VFD, recorders, HMI’s and associated controls and proficiency with determining and isolating problems within the systems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook), tablets, and reporting tools.
  • Clear, professional communication skills (both written and verbal).
Requirements
  • High school diploma plus 2‑year technical certificate, Journeyman electrical license, or 4+ years of field service experience.
  • Military experience in Electrical or Mechatronics is a strong plus.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders/stairs, stand for long periods of the day, and perform tasks in extreme weather and confined spaces while wearing PPE.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently under pressure, and the emotional intelligence to handle challenging or stressful customer situations.
  • Valid and clean driver’s license – this role includes driving a company‑provided vehicle to customer sites.
