Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN), parent company of Liberty, is hiring a Field Service Representative to read meters, set and remove meters, inspect for high bills, and operate required equipment in outdoor environments.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift over 25 pounds. Training will cover the Mobile Work Management Program and SAP work orders during probation.

Responsibilities

  • Meet customers, read and set meters, and report on high bills.
  • Inspect plumbing and unmetered properties as required.
  • Locate, access, and operate company equipment (e.g., curb stops, valves).
  • Learn to use the Mobile Work Management Program and SAP orders.

Purpose

Duties include but are not limited to:

Meeting customers, reading, setting and removal of meters, inspections for high bills, plumbing inspections, reporting known or suspected unmetered properties, locate, access, and operate company equipment, such as, but not limited to, curb stops, gate valves, and shutoff valves, remove debris/water from company facilities including, but not limited to meter tiles, curb and valve boxes, perform shut-offs, turn-offs, and turn-ons, perform and complete various SAP orders.

The FSR is required to become computer literate and able to learn and work with the Mobile Work Management Program used to manage customer service orders as well as learn to operate the meter reading equipment by the end of the probationary period.

Accountabilities

  • The applicant will need to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather-related heat and cold and related elements.
  • A valid driver's license without restrictions is required.
  • Applicant may occasionally be required to lift/move over 25 pounds
  • Hourly Rate: $38.00 / HR
