Job summary

Tarkett in the United States is seeking a Field Service Representative to deliver technical support and installation expertise across the western region, including Southern California, Las Vegas, and Texas. The role involves substantial travel and on-site collaboration with Tarkett Account Executives.

The ideal candidate will have flooring installation experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office).
• Effective communication skills; bi-lingual not required but preferred.
• Flooring installation experience; including and preferred with POWERBOND, woven, and tufted broadloom.
• Professional, respectful, honest, reliable, strong work ethic.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via in-person, telephone, and e-mail communications (Product, Installation, Site Conditions, Maintenance, etc.).
• Significant troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Conduct claim inspections and technical evaluations in the field with travel to western US and Western Canada; submit detailed reports within 48 hours with observations, photos, samples and evidence.
• Product installation of soft surface materials (carpet tile, POWERBOND, broadloom) for trade shows, mockups, field testing, tip sheet videos.
• Conduct training sessions and seminars, including hands-on installation demos and public speaking.
• Conduct POWERBOND and broadloom certification tests (written and practical) and manage certification paperwork.
• Travel 50% - 75% with Tarkett Account Executives on customer visits to provide technical support on sales calls.
