Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on experience with U.S. Navy Navigation equipment and systems, including experience in at least three of the listed areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dockside and at-sea tests; analyze data and resolve installation, technical, and procedural issues.
• Provide expertise to resolve navigation system interface issues with other shipboard systems and assist in developing and updating documentation.
• Travel to sponsor sites as a technical representative; conduct field tests and serve as liaison with sponsors.
• Prepare status, progress, and final project reports describing results of field experiments or inspections.
• Light-off, configure, test, troubleshoot, and operate primary systems and peripheral equipment.
• Verify functionality of newly installed equipment and evaluate system performance under operating conditions.
• Continuously develop skills related to new technology and systems relevant to projects.
• Maintain and improve test procedures and processes for efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Provide oversight and on-the-job training to lower-level technicians.
• Provide input to Project Managers for proposals and Statements of Work.

SUMMARY:

WR has a potential opportunity for a Field Service Representative, Lead (NAVCERT). This role offer an exciting and challenging opportunity to represent the Navigation Systems In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) in conducting Navigation Certifications (NAVCERT) aboard U.S. Navy ships.

Position responsibilities

• Verify functionality of newly installed equipment and evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Continuously develop skills related to new technology and systems relevant to ongoing and anticipated projects.
• Maintain and seek improvements to test procedures and processes for maximum efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Provide oversight and on-the-job training to lower-level technicians.
• Provide input to Project Managers for proposals and Statements of Work.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical training in U.S. Navy Navigation Systems.
• Five (5)+ years of hands-on experience with U.S. Navy Navigation equipment and systems, including experience in at least three (3) of the following four (4) areas:

• Systems Requirements
• Operational Requirements
• Test & Evaluation
• Training

Recognized expert demonstrating industry and public service leadership in U.S. Navy Navigation equipment and systems.

Position Salary Range: $61,000 - $105,456. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
