Job summary

Veolia North America, LLC is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide on-site operations and maintenance for water treatment systems across multiple industries. You will work on technologies such as RO, ion exchange, and UF, and travel to customer sites as required.

The role requires hands-on mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Travel is 100% and on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification or international equivalent.
• 2+ years’ service/maintenance experience (Electrical, chemical, or mechanical) in an industrial setting.
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting).
• Able to lift 50 lbs and travel 100% as required.
• Current Driver’s License and site access.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, process pumps, instrumentation.
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals; manage chemical injection systems.
• Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM Plans in Salesforce; daily timekeeping in Kronos.
• Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner.

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
• Consult with customer management and operation teams
• Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills
• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
• Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
• Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM Plans in Salesforce
• Daily timekeeping in Kronos
• Complete and submit expense reports
• Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience

Required

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international
• equivalent
• 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, Pipe fitting) or equivalent in an industrial environment
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Willingness and ability to respond to after hours call-out in 2 hrs or less
• Current Driver’s License
• Able to maintain Site access
• Forklift Experience/Training or able to certified
• 100% travel (training/other site visits)

Preferred (if Applicable)

• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical
• certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
• 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power, generation plants
• Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
• Working with chemicals for water treatment
• Working with corrosive chemicals used for Membrane cleaning operations

Additional Information

Working Conditions

• Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses,
• bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
• Time will be split between maintenance work and assembly work. Bending, kneeling, fine motor
• work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer).
• Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws.
• Some sitting and computer work is required.
• Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with
• cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
• Okay with 100% travel
• Okay working Hot, dirty, loud, and moving equipment
