Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance on water treatment systems for diverse industries. You will work on technologies including filtration, RO, IX, and UF, performing maintenance, calibration, and on-site troubleshooting.

You will collaborate with customer management, ensure contract compliance, and document technical work while traveling to client sites. A strong mechanical/electrical background and willingness to travel 100% are essential.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, Home School or international equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical) in an industrial environment.
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting).
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Willingness to respond to after hours call-out within 2 hours or less.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain site access.
  • Forklift experience or ability to be certified.
  • 100% travel (training/other site visits).

Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.
  • Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
  • Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC) and other site-specific tests.
  • Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM plans in Salesforce.
  • Daily timekeeping in Kronos.
  • Complete and submit expense reports.
  • Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore operation promptly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Duties & Responsibilities

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, pipe fitting) or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Willingness and ability to respond to after hours call‑out in 2 hrs or less
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Able to maintain Site access
  • Forklift Experience/Training or able to be certified
  • 100% travel (training/other site visits)

Preferred (if applicable):

  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical
  • Certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
  • 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power generation plants
  • Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
  • Working with chemicals for water treatment
  • Working with corrosive chemicals used for Membrane cleaning operations
Additional Information

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
  • Time will be split between maintenance work and assembly work. Bending, kneeling, fine motor work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer).
  • Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws.
  • Some sitting and computer work is required.
  • Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
  • Okay with 100% travel
  • Hot, dirty, loud, and moving equipment
