Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical experience preferred.
  • 2+ years’ service/maintenance experience in industrial settings.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and travel 100%.
  • Valid Driver’s License and site access.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls on water treatment equipment.
  • Create site paperwork and provide technical summaries.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and chemical supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
  • Enter work orders in Salesforce and track time in Kronos.
  • Respond to trouble calls and restore operations promptly.

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

  • Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills
  • Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
  • Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
  • Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site‑specific testing requirements
  • Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM Plans in Salesforce
  • Daily timekeeping in Kronos
  • Complete and submit expense reports
  • Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education & Experience
Required
  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, Pipe fitting) or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Willingness and ability to respond to after hours call‑out in 2 hrs or less
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Able to maintain Site access
  • Forklift Experience/Training or able to certified
  • 100% travel (training/other site visits)
Preferred (if Applicable)
  • Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical
  • certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
  • 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power, generation plants
  • Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
  • Working with chemicals for water treatment
  • Working with corrosive chemicals used for Membrane cleaning operations
Working Conditions
  • Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
  • Time will be split between maintenance work and assembly work. Bending, kneeling, fine motor work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer).
  • Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws.
  • Some sitting and computer work is required.
  • Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.
  • Okay with 100% travel
  • Okay working Hot, dirty, loud, and moving equipment
