Job summary

Veolia Water Technology is seeking a Field Service Representative to provide operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for diverse industries. You'll work on technologies including media filtration, RO, ion exchange, and UF, performing maintenance, calibration, and optimization of equipment performance.

This role requires 2+ years of service experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, a valid driver's license, 100% travel, and readiness to respond to after-hours calls.

Qualifications

2+ years’ service/maintenance experience (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical) in an industrial environment.
High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training).
Able to lift 50 lbs and respond to after-hours call-outs in 2 hrs or less.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to access worksites.

Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment (valves, pumps, instrumentation).
Create and maintain site paperwork and provide detailed technical summaries of work performed.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals and replacement parts.
Monitor and operate chemical injection systems and test water quality parameters.
Enter work orders, purchase orders and PM plans in Salesforce; timekeeping in Kronos.

Job Description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
Consult with customer management and operation teams
Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills
Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications
Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
Perform analytical testing such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
Enter and complete work orders, purchase orders and PM Plans in Salesforce
Daily timekeeping in Kronos
Complete and submit expense reports
Respond to system trouble calls and troubleshoot and restore system operation in a timely manner
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience

Required:

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international
equivalent
2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance (Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience, Pipe fitting) or equivalent in an industrial environment
Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)
Able to lift 50lbs
Willingness and ability to respond to after hours call-out in 2 hrs or less
Current Driver’s License
Able to maintain Site access
Forklift Experience/Training or able to certified
100% travel (training/other site visits)

Preferred (if applicable)

Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical
certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical
2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical or power, generation plants
Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment
Working with chemicals for water treatment
Working with corrosive chemicals used for Membrane cleaning operations

Additional Information

Working Conditions

Must be able to perform work with appropriate PPE for work (safety toed shoes, safety glasses, bump cap/hard hat, etc.)
Time will be split between maintenance work and assembly work. Bending, kneeling, fine motor work, using various hand tools and PVC bonding materials (glue, primer).
Ability to operate power tools such as drills, grinders, and saws.
Some sitting and computer work is required.
Some unassisted lifting up to 50 lbs. is required – nearly all heavy parts movement assisted with cranes/hoists and pallet jacks.

Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: Hourly $22.60 - $37.26 USD
