Job summary

Burckhardt Compression (US) Inc. is seeking a Field Service Representative to support our service operations by performing mechanical maintenance, equipment overhauls, troubleshooting, and repair work on compressor systems and related equipment.

This role offers hands-on work, travel, and opportunities to resolve technical challenges in the field. The position requires a high school diploma or GED with preferred vocational training, plus 2+ years in compressor maintenance or heavy mechanical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training or Associate Degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in compressor maintenance/overhauls or heavy mechanical equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on compressor and rotating equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes and mills.
• Conduct inspections to ensure components meet quality and tolerance requirements.
• Perform CNC programming and machine setup as required.
• Complete service reports, inspection documentation, and maintenance records.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Work independently and collaboratively with customers and internal teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Must provide basic hand tools required for the position.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work overtime, including typical 10-12 hour shifts when needed.
• Frequently lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, crouch, balance, push, pull, and work at heights.
