The role involves hands-on mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting, calibration, and equipment optimization, plus generating clear technical summaries and maintaining site paperwork.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in industrial, oil field, refineries or chemical plants.
• Electrical, chemical and/or mechanical experience.
• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, training, EH S reporting).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and controls on valves, compressors, pumps and instrumentation.
• Create and maintain site paperwork; provide detailed technical summaries.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and chemicals/replacement parts.
• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.
• Perform analytical testing (turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, etc.).
• Enter and complete work orders in MaintainX.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

As a Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for one of our customers from one of a variety of industries. This mission critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including, media filtration, wastewater, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Key Characteristics

• Conduct maintenance and calibration activities

• Consult with customer management and operation teams

• Excellent mechanical know how and problem-solving skills

• Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications

• Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance

Duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical, electrical and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation

• Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed

• Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts

• Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems

• Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements

• Enter and complete work orders in Maintenance Program (MaintainX)

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Required

• 2 years of experience in Industrial, oil field, refineries, chemical plants

• Electrical, chemical, and/or mechanical experience

• Basic computer skills (email, data entry, online training, EHS reporting)

• Able to lift 50lbs

Preferred Skill

• Forklift Experience/Training

Education & Experience

Required:

• High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment

• Current TWIC Card is required

• Current Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation, electrical, mechanical

• 5% travel (training/other site visits)

• Hot, dirty, loud, moving equipment

• Working with chemicals for water treatment
