Job summary

Nucor is seeking a qualified project manager for the NRF Southcentral region based in Dayton, TX. You will travel extensively (up to 75%), serving as the primary company representative on job sites and coordinating across Project Management, Detailing, Sales, and Fabrication teams.

Responsibilities include investigating issues, proactively identifying risks to installation schedules and costs, and delivering written reports from each visit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field or 3 years of rebar detailing or project management experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, rebar placing drawings, specifications, and other construction documents.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to professionally handle difficult or high-pressure situations.
• Must travel extensively to job sites and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to safely access and navigate active construction sites, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders and stairs, and riding lifts when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Travel to job sites up to 75% of the time, often overnight.
• Represent the company at jobsites and maintain professional relationships with customers and site personnel.
• Investigate and coordinate solutions to problems identified at the jobsite across related departments.
• Proactively identify potential problems and trends affecting installation, schedule, costs, or customer relations.
• Write reports for all jobsite visits detailing observations, actions, and follow-up items.
