Job summary

Clean Harbors in Pompano, FL is seeking a Field Service Project Manager to oversee large-scale environmental projects at customer locations. You will work with supervisors and the Branch Manager on project delivery, safety, and customer relationships.

Requirements include 5+ years in environmental field service, emergency response experience, and strong communication skills. Training and travel are involved; compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually plus incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental field service operations, remediation, site construction, or a related field.
• Previous experience in Emergency Response required.
• Strong knowledge of equipment operations.
• Ability to read, review, and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.
• Strong customer management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications.
• Experience with cost estimating and computer-based systems.
• In-depth knowledge of remedial technologies.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Manages and oversees small to midsize, technically complex projects involving waste site clean-up and construction, building and equipment decontamination and demolition.
• Prepare proposals, including cost estimates and work scopes and schedules.
• Acts as an agent of business and is involved with developing relationships with key customers and understanding the customer issues.
• Ability to provide timely, concise and relevant information to superiors and subordinates.
• Provides technical support for proposal preparation, project cost estimates and subcontractor selection and procurement.
• Enforce the policies and procedures as it relates to Health & Safety. Will be measured off the districts health and safety record.
• Works closely with the Director of Health and Safety and VP of Site Services in resolving issues in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
