Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Sumner, WA is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to generators and components at the customer site.

You will engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, perform maintenance and repairs using diagnostic tools, and maintain detailed service records while adhering to health, safety and environmental policies. Relocation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
• High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
• Capable of electrical repair with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
• Basic Diesel Engine experience.
• Proficient troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
• Able to perform repairs on ATS systems and able to perform commissioning on a new ATS installation.

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Current relevant electrical certification

Locally valid driving permit

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with of power generation products

High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience

Customer service experience
