Job summary

Everllence USA, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Operations - Service Engineer to provide technical service and troubleshooting for our engines on stationary plants or sea-going vessels. You will dismantle, inspect, and service fuel equipment or turbochargers, and assist Engineers in workshops and on board.

This role requires extensive travel and the ability to report findings promptly. A one-year certificate is required, with one to two years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • One-year certificate or equivalent experience is required.
  • 1-2 years of experience and/or training preferred.
  • Knowledge of control systems and engines is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for field service.

Responsibilities

  • Assists engineers during onboard service jobs and in workshops.
  • Diagnoses reasons for failure and assembles components after repair.
  • Prepares reports for routine jobs, solo or as a foreman.
  • Maintains strong customer relations and clear communication during duties.
  • Extensive travel by car, train, plane, boat, and possibly helicopter.

Field Service Operations - Service Engineer
Summary

Provides technical service and trouble‑shooting for our engines on stationary plants or sea‑going vessels. As well as dismantling, checking, and inspecting fuel equipment or turbochargers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assists Engineers during onboard service jobs and in workshops.
  • Assists Engineers in all related duties for diesel engines, turbochargers, propeller gears and any other products designed by the company.
  • Diagnoses reasons for failure.
  • Assembles components after repair.
  • Prepares reports attended on smaller routine jobs as per present and future skills, both working alone or as a foreman for a group.
  • Maintains a good business relation and communication with all customers while performing all duties.
  • Requires intensive travelling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases via helicopter at short notice and the ability to be flexible changing plans to comply with professional circumstances and exigencies.
  • To be up‑do‑date with and to implement internal technical modifications and information.
  • Ability to handle various Projects at all levels of the organization.
  • Reports (e.g. Service Reports) have to be finished and uploaded two days after the job is finished.
  • Tools have to be returned in a good condition.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
  • File and organize documents and appropriated folders.
  • Assure to follow internal Everllence rules and regulations.
Required Education

One‑year certificate from college or technical school or acceptable to meet the competency requirements of education or experience.

Required Experience

One or two years of experience and/or training preferred.

Other Skills
  • Basic knowledge and interest of control systems and electronic and pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge of 4‑st and 2‑st engines and possibly turbochargers and propellers.
  • First aid.
  • Crane and forklift training.
  • Rigging.
  • Safety training courses.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl, ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, hot conditions, near moving mechanical parts, in high precarious places.
  • Working in an engine room where other engines are running, and dealing with high temperatures, humidity, vibrations, and loud noises.
