  • Maintains good relations and communication with customers during duties.
  • Requires extensive travel by car, train, plane, boat, or helicopter and flexibility to changing plans.
  • Uploads service reports two days after job completion.
  • Keeps tools in good condition and files documents in appropriate folders.
  • Adheres to Everllence rules and regulations and participates in safety trainings.

Summary

Provides technical service and troubleshooting for engines on stationary plants or sea-going vessels, including dismantling, checking, and inspecting fuel equipment or turbochargers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assists Engineers during onboard service jobs and in workshops.
  • Assists Engineers in all related duties for diesel engines, turbochargers, propeller gears and other products designed by the company.
  • Diagnoses reasons for failure.
  • Assembles components after repair.
  • Prepares reports for smaller routine jobs, working alone or as a foreman for a group.
  • Maintains good business relations and communication with customers while performing duties.
  • Requires intensive travelling via car, train, plane, launch boat, and in extreme cases via helicopter at short notice; must be flexible to changing plans to meet professional circumstances and exigencies.
  • Keeps up-to-date with and implements internal technical modifications and information.
  • Ability to manage various projects at all levels of the organization.
  • Reports (e.g., service reports) must be finished and uploaded two days after the job is completed.
  • Tools must be returned in good condition.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Files and organizes documents and appropriate folders.
  • Adheres to internal Everllence rules and regulations.
Qualifications

Required Education: One-year certificate from college or technical school or equivalent to meet competency requirements by education or experience.

Required Experience: One or two years of experience and/or training preferred.

Other Skills
  • Basic knowledge and interest in control systems and electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Sound knowledge of 4-stroke and 2-stroke engines and possibly turbochargers and propellers.
  • First aid.
  • Crane and forklift training.
  • Safety training courses.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work in wet, humid, hot conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high precarious places.
  • Ability to work in engine rooms with other engines running, dealing with high temperatures, humidity, vibrations, and loud noises.
