Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Service Mechanic for the Scott Depot, WV Service Center to perform shop repairs of separation equipment. You will disassemble, inspect, diagnose, and reassemble machines, ensuring performance meets customer requirements.

You will read engineering drawings, use precision measuring tools, conduct vibration analysis and dye penetrant tests, and coordinate with the service manager to prepare quotes and plan on-site support.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher; technical certification in a skilled technician field.
• Experience with vibration analysis, alignment and balancing equipment.
• Ability to disassemble and rebuild separation equipment, including testing before restart.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Willingness to work in the field at customer sites after training.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and inspect machines to determine repair scope.
• Perform diagnostic tests (vibration analysis, bearing temperature, oil quality, etc.).
• Read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Use precision measuring tools for dimensional inspection.
• Perform dye penetrant examination of parts.
• Balance rotating assemblies.
• Repair separators and decanters from disassembly to reassembly and installation.
• Assess equipment performance to distinguish between equipment malfunction and process change.
• Obtain manuals and parts lists for quotes.
• Coordinate with service manager.
