Job summary

Interstate Assembly Systems is seeking a Field Service Mechanic to service heavy‑duty trucks and equipment in the Phoenix Valley area. The role requires hands‑on troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in the field, with travel to client sites daily.

You will diagnose, repair, weld and fabricate as needed, operate cranes, maintain air compressors, and document repair notes while adhering to OSHA and DOT safety standards. A CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience on heavy-duty trucks/equipment.
• Skilled in repairing hydraulics, cranes, welders and air compressors.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on heavy-duty trucks and systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Operate and test cranes for safety and function.
• Maintain air compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Respond to client service calls in the field with timely solutions.
• Document service work with parts, time, and notes.
• Adhere to OSHA and DOT safety standards.
• Explain repairs and provide preventative maintenance recommendations.
