Job description

We are looking for a Field Service Manager to join our Woodstock, VT team. The Field Service Manager supervises the installation and repair of heating equipment to ensure high customer satisfaction and efficient, profitable operations.

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage the performance of service technicians, ensuring work is completed correctly and efficiently.
  2. Provide training and development to maintain a skilled, productive workforce.
  3. Hire and terminate technicians in collaboration with the District Manager; evaluate performance and maintain documentation.
  4. Stay updated on technological advances in the petroleum equipment industry through training and communication.
  5. Inspect technician work for quality control and provide guidance.
  6. Resolve customer complaints effectively.
  7. Oversee maintenance of service vehicles and coordinate with the Operations Manager on vehicle upkeep.
  8. Provide cost estimates for parts and labor on installations upon request.
Other Tasks:

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience:

Two to four years of supervisory experience preferred; prior knowledge of the petroleum industry required.

Determine labor hours and costs; assist with scheduling to balance emergencies, service, and budgets.

Safety:

Ensure safe use of vehicles, equipment, and adherence to safety protocols, including PPE and hazardous materials handling.

Equipment:

Use of office equipment and familiarity with heating appliances and installation tools.

Work Environment:

Varied temperatures, exposure to fumes, and physically demanding tasks, including moving objects up to 100 pounds.
