Summary
The Field Service Manager (FSM) is a supervisory role leading field operations, supervising technicians, overseeing projects, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborates with Area or Operations Managers on business development, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Supervise technical staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Oversee service teams, coordinate activities, and resolve or escalate issues.
- Lead planning, execution, and completion of service projects within timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical guidance to technicians on troubleshooting and solutions.
- Maintain communication with customers to address needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure quality and compliance.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
- Manage inventory of equipment, tools, and materials.
- Maintain records of service activities and prepare performance reports.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in field service operations with leadership roles.
- Technical expertise in wireless communication systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; 8+ years related experience or equivalent.
- Driver's license, GROL, or other relevant certifications.
