Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on LTCs to ensure optimal performance.
  • Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for service tasks.
  • Prepare detailed field reports and communicate findings to management and customers.
  • Operate heavy machinery and follow strict safety protocols.
  • Support cross-functional teams during service projects.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

The opportunity

Hitachi Energy’s Service Business is seeking an LTC Field Service Technician to perform specialized field service work on Load Tap Changers and associated transformer equipment. This role involves hands‑on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of LTCs at customer sites across the United States. You’ll work with industry-standard procedures and technical documentation, develop expertise in LTC operation and diagnostics, and contribute directly to the reliability and performance of the power grid. This position is ideal for candidates seeking to deepen their technical skills in transformer systems and gain exposure to a variety of field service projects.
