Job summary

Top Lock Locksmiths & Security is expanding its field service team and seeks detail-driven technicians who maintain high workmanship standards across commercial locations nationwide. You will install, service, and repair commercial locksets, door hardware, and access control, while documenting work in our software and communicating clearly with managers and facility contacts.

The ideal candidate has proven experience with mortise, cylindrical, and deadbolt locks; rekeying; master key systems;

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a commercial locksmith or commercial door hardware technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial lock hardware and leading manufacturers.
• Hands-on experience with master keying, rekeying, and cylinder work.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial locksets: mortise, cylindrical, deadbolt; service high-security cylinders.
• Rekey and pin cylinders; build and maintain master key systems; originate and duplicate keys, including restricted keyways.
• Install, repair, and adjust door closers, exit devices/panic hardware, hinges, pivots, and continuous hinges.
• Diagnose and correct alignment issues (sagging doors, frame problems, latch misalignment) and improve openings with thresholds, sweeps, and gasketing.
• Perform site surveys and propose hardware solutions aligned to client needs.
• Capture complete job documentation in our software: photos, parts, service notes, recommendations.
• Provide clear on-site communication about work performed and next steps.
