Job summary

RDS Equipment, Inc. is seeking a skilled field service technician to join our team. The qualified candidate will perform service repairs on forklifts and related material handling equipment, diagnose issues, and complete repair work.

You must read electrical and hydraulic schematics, maintain accurate tickets, and provide excellent customer service. A clean driving record and own tools are required; experience 3-5 years in industrial equipment repair is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or completion of a service technician training program is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years experience in industrial equipment repair.
• Must have your own tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are required.
• Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft office, Outlook and how to operate a tablet.

Responsibilities

• Perform service repairs on forklifts and related material handling items and industrial equipment.
• Analyze and diagnose issues and perform repairs.
• Fill out service tickets and time cards daily and do so within the procedures that are in place.
• Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
• Operate a service van in a safe, secure and clean manner.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues.
• Properly identify needed replacement parts.
• Explain issues clearly to customers and provide valuable advice.
• Repair the equipment properly and timely.
• Perform planned maintenance on forklifts and related equipment.
• Keep accurate repair order records and time cards.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Keep your van and work area clean and organized at all times.
• Must provide your own tools.
