Job summary

WGNSTAR in Taylor, TX is hiring for a full-time onsite technician to support installation, maintenance, and calibration of state‑of‑the‑art semiconductor equipment.

You will diagnose issues, follow procedures, and work with customers to ensure equipment performance while adapting to overtime and various shift requirements.

Qualifications

• Wet chemistry systems experience (1+ year) and safe operation is required.
• Ability to read schematics and plumbing diagrams.
• Strong customer focus and commitment to satisfaction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work overtime and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for installation and maintenance of semiconductor equipment.
• Diagnose problems and perform proper repairs.

• Troubleshoot and document findings with customers.
• Escalate unresolved issues promptly.
• Work with the customer on-site to gather performance information.
• Operate with limited supervision on complex tasks.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay Rate: $31.00 to $40.00 depending on experience and level

Location: Taylor, TX

Travel: Up to 10%

Position Type: Full-time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite support for installation, maintenance, and site support for state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing/wet processing equipment.
• Evaluate and diagnose problems and make proper repairs.
• Follow and help develop detailed procedures.
• Work with co-workers, customer and field support in isolating and resolving problems under strict time restraints.
• Troubleshoot and document findings.
• Be able to work overtime as needed.
• Adaptable to working standard day shifts, compressed schedules, or night shifts in accordance with business requirements.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of equipment at customer facilities, under direct supervision.
• Power up new equipment; perform mechanical setup and calibration.
• Setup tool parameters using specs/guidelines.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repair using specified procedures.
• Work with customer at the site to build rapport and to obtain information about equipment performance
• Work under limited supervision, perform a variety of complex assignments using independent judgment.
• Perform extensive troubleshooting.
• Diagnose equipment problems and promptly make repairs/adjustments.
• Escalate problems that cannot be resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

• 1+ year wet chemistry systems
• Ability to perform successfully in a demanding environment with varying workloads.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Work in a safe manner and follow all safety protocols.
• Have a strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Have experience using alignment tools (micrometers/calipers/multimeters/current clamps).
• Ability to read schematics/plumbing diagrams.
• Chemical handling and familiarity (protective equipment and hazards).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Work according to strict procedures.
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Clear and effective communication skills both written and verbally.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able tobend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
