Job summary

Infiltrator Water Technologies seeks a Field Service Engineering Technician with mechanical servicing expertise to support onsite wastewater treatment systems. The role involves troubleshooting, field servicing, and ensuring system performance in diverse environments.

Ideal candidates have 5–8+ years in field service, a technical background, and strong communication skills; travel to project sites ~75% is required, with occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of field service experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, motors, controls, instrumentation, and treatment equipment is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes is a plus.
• Experience with regulatory bodies (IAPMO, NSF…) is a plus.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, control panels, sensors, and alarm systems.
• Able to read engineering drawings, schematics and installation manuals.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile reporting tools.
• Excellent communication abilities; Spanish language is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and verify wastewater treatment system performance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Inspect pumps, blowers, control panels, alarms, valves, and piping systems.
• Respond to service requests and provide technical support.
• Document all service activities, findings, corrective actions, and recommendations.
• Explain technical information clearly to customers and non-technical audiences.
• Support warranty evaluations and field investigations.
• Complete service reports, inspection reports, and expense documentation on time.
• Maintain records of field activities using MS 365 applications.
• Communicate field findings to engineering, sales and product management teams.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Sales to service and repair treatment systems.
