Infiltrator Water Technologies in Old Saybrook, CT, is seeking a Field Service Engineering Technician to deliver technical knowledge and professional field service for wastewater treatment systems. The role focuses on mechanical servicing, troubleshooting, and timely on-site repairs to ensure system performance.

You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and control issues, complete service reports, and collaborate with engineering and product management. Travel ~75% is required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering Technology or Environmental Science degree preferred.
• 5-8+ years of field service or related maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with pumps, blowers, motors, controls, instrumentation, and treatment equipment is highly desirable.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and mobile reporting tools.
• Excellent communication abilities; Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and verify performance of wastewater treatment systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues.
• Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions.
• Explain technical information clearly to customers and non-technical audiences.
• Support warranty evaluations and field investigations.
• Complete service and inspection reports accurately and on time.
• Travel to project sites and communicate findings to engineering and sales teams.
