• Valid driver’s license and clean criminal record.

CTR Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Production Assistance for a company in Newport News, VA that specializes in designing and manufacturing high quality, heavy mechanical and electromechanical equipment for space, energy and industry applications. A Night Shift Position. SALARY RANGE: $80K - $90K with Excellent Benefits: 401(k) pension plan, health, dental, vision and life insurance.

• Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you develop

• Support client with the maintenance of Company-designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.

What you bring

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or similar level of experience.
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
