Job summary

CTR Group in Newport News, VA seeks a Field Service Engineer - Production Assistance for a day shift. You will support maintenance of specialized machines, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure uptime.

The role requires 5+ years of maintenance experience, an Associate degree or similar, ability to read blueprints, and strong customer communication. Valid driver's license and clean record are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.
• Associate degree or similar level of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Support client with maintenance of company-designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.
• Read blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose and service mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure safety, quality, and uptime.

A Day Shift Position. SALARY RANGE: $80K - $90K with Excellent Benefits: 401(k) pension plan, health, dental, vision and life insurance. Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation.
