Job summary

APCO Technologies SA in Newport News, Virginia, is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support on-site teams and assist senior engineers with design questions. You will prepare technical documentation and help design and optimize fixtures for client facilities, contributing to scope and budget development.

The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, 0–2 years of experience, and knowledge of hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical expertise.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Ability to interpret/create technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• 3D modelling software knowledge, CATIA preferably.

Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Your Mission

• Support and assist on-site team
• Support mechanical supervisor and technicians for any design related questions

• Perform design and optimization efforts of current fixtures deployed at client facility
• Assist client with engineering requests related to current and future fixtures
• Provide regular feedback of fixture to headquarters
• In conjunction with the onsite team, perform initial engineering study of client requests for development of scope and budget requests

What you bring:

• 0-2 years of experience
• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical expertise
• Ability to interpret/create technical drawings
• 3D modelling software knowledge, CATIA preferably
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
• Fast-thinking and know how to adapt quickly to any situation
• Attention to detail and quality
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
• US Work permit Holder
