Job summary

Motorola Solutions is hiring an Experienced Field Service professional to install and support Video solutions at client sites across varied environments including Azure, Linux, and Windows. You will train users, evaluate system needs, and generate deployment docs for government and public safety customers.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, strong networking and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to travel up to 75%. A valid driver's license and background clearance are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or technical certificates with 3+ years in LMR, RF or public safety deployments.
• CompTIA certification(s) and ability to obtain government background clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Major and Minor installations and support Motorola Video applications at Client sites.
• Azure cloud, Linux or Windows based deployments depending on the customer.
• Develops and implements efficient and cost-effective solutions.
• Evaluates system specifications for business requirements.
• Install and support In-Car Video and Body Worn Camera hardware.
• Train end users on end-to-end usage of the video system.
• Generate technical field trip reports and deployment documentation.

Job Description

Responsibilities: Carry out Major and Minor installations and support Motorola Video applications at Client sites. These can be Azure cloud based, Linux based, or Windows based depending on the customer. Windows based depending on the customer. Develops and implements the most efficient and cost-effective solutions Evaluates system specifications for business requirements Works closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs Install and support In-Car Video and Body Worn Camera hardware Train end users on functionality of end to end usage of the video system Provide consultation and/or expert advice to Partners or Customers who are executing hardware deployments on behalf of Motorola Solutions Work effectively in IT environments and provide feedback to support customer IT resources to resolve IT functional issues including networking, port protocols and server maintenance. Generate technical field trip reports and technical deployment documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be have experience with Networking
• Must have extensive computer use experience 3+ years of experience working in a Field Service environment preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely matter.
• Ability to deviate from established policies and procedures to effectively resolve a customer issue in time sensitive deployments.
• Must have a valid driver’s license to be considered for this position.
• The ability to travel up to 75%.
• Ability to install and/or configure hardware and/or software for Video Products.
• This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice"Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range

$85,000 - $95,000 USD. Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements

Required Skills: High School diploma, Technical Certificates, or Associate's, or Bachelor's degree, plus 3+ years of experience in one of the following areas: LMR, RF Systems, Radio Communications, Radio Frequency, Motorola equipment, Wireless Communication Systems, IT Systems, Mobile or Fixed Video Systems, Telecommunications, and Public Safety experience required for this position. CompTIA Certification(s). Must be able to obtain a background clearance as required by our government customers.
