Job summary

METTLER TOLEDO in the United States seeks a Field Service Technician to support Safeline systems, perform start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair and training at customer sites. You will manage service communications, schedule effectively, and produce detailed reports while following MT PI procedures.

Expect extensive travel (100%), potential long days, and occasional weekends. You will maintain tools and equipment, and contribute to a safe, high-quality service culture across sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Proficient with hand tools and digital test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service support for Safeline X-Ray, metal detectors, checkweighers or CI Vision machines.
• Manage communications between customers and service department; schedule efficiently.
• Prepare detailed written service reports and documentation promptly.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory; follow MT PI procedures.
• Attend regional calls and work overtime or long days as needed.
• Travel 100% with frequent overnight stays; valid driver's license required.
