Job summary

IPT Global seeks a field engineer to deploy and support SureTec technology on offshore rigs, working with drilling and subsea crews to ensure reliable results and customer confidence.

You will interpret data on-site, train rig personnel, and maintain safety standards while building lasting relationships with operators across Gulf of Mexico and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in subsea, petroleum, mechanical engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years in offshore or oil & gas operations, ideally around well control or testing.
• Familiarity with API Standard 53 and pressure testing practices.
• Strong communication and composure under pressure with a service mindset.
• Ability to obtain BOSIET/HUET, TWIC, and a valid passport.

Responsibilities

• Travel to offshore and land rigs to install, operate, and troubleshoot IPT systems during testing.
• Interpret test data on-site and explain results clearly to rig crews.
• Train rig personnel on tools and workflows.
• Build lasting customer relationships and capture field feedback for the product team.

Job Description

The Role
You'll be the face of IPT Global on the rig floor. You'll deploy and support our technology at the wellsite, work alongside drilling and subsea crews, and make sure every customer leaves with confidence in their results. This role suits an engineer who wants real field time, enjoys solving problems in real time, and takes pride in being the person the rig crew trusts.

What You'll Do

• Travel to offshore and land rigs to install, operate, and troubleshoot IPT systems during BOP, casing, and well barrier testing.
• Interpret test data on-site and clearly explain results to company men, toolpushers, and subsea engineers.
• Train rig personnel on our tools and workflows.
• Build lasting customer relationships and capture field feedback for our product and engineering teams.
• Maintain high safety standards and accurate job documentation.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• A bachelor's degree in subsea, petroleum, mechanical, or a related engineering discipline. Equivalent field experience will be considered.
• At least [2] years in offshore or oil & gas operations, ideally around well control, BOP systems, completions, or well testing.
• Familiarity with API Standard 53 and pressure testing practices.
• Strong communication skills and a calm, service-first approach under pressure.
• Ability to obtain or hold BOSIET/HUET, TWIC, and a valid passport.

Nice to Have

• Experience with international rig operations.
• Comfort with data analysis tools.
