Job summary

Hudson Lab Automation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide technical support to customers, dealers and service engineers, including commissioning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Hudson Lab Automation systems at customer sites.

This customer-facing role ensures product reliability and customer satisfaction, with duties spanning documentation, knowledge-base contributions, and ongoing skills development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent certification/experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of 2 years in field service or customer-facing support.
• Experience with lab automation products (robotics, liquid handling, crystallization, colony pickers) preferred.
• Knowledge of computer communications protocols (TCP/IP, RS232).

Responsibilities

• Commission, install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Hudson Lab Automation systems in the field.
• Provide applications support to customers and internal teams.
• Triage and troubleshoot reported product issues quickly and accurately.
• Document service activities, issues and resolutions.
• Train customers in routine operation of hardware and software.
