Job summary

Broetje Automation, a leader in aircraft manufacturing automation, seeks a Field Service Engineer for Savannah, GA. You will provide electrical and controls engineering support for new equipment and system introductions, and operate as a subject matter expert in Siemens PLC, HMI, and motion control during site commissions.

The role requires hands-on automation experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to travel to customer sites (50%+), with opportunities for international travel.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics preferred.
3+ years in industrial automation or equivalent experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on automation experience.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical and controls engineering expertise for new equipment and systems.
Serve as internal SME for control systems (Siemens PLC, HMI, motion control).
Apply electronics, circuits, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and programming knowledge.
Travel to customer sites for machine commissioning and troubleshooting.
