Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer in the Bay Area to install and maintain advanced electron microscopy equipment, including SEM, TEM, and FIB systems.
You will travel regionally, perform on-site installations, provide diagnostics and repairs, and train customers on system maintenance. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of hands-on experience are required, with strong English communication and safety compliance.

The Materials and Structural Analysis Electron Microscopy (M&SA EM) business enables customers to find meaningful answers to questions that accelerate breakthrough discoveries and ultimately change the world. The M&SA EM business designs, manufactures, and supports the broadest range of high-performance microscopy workflows that provide images and answers in the micro-, nano-, and picometer scales.
The ideal candidate will reside within the assigned Bay area territory (Oakland to San Jose), with a strong preference for candidates based in Bay area within one hour of a major airport. This role requires up to 50% travel.

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $34.61–$51.92.
