Location: Remote - can be based out of AZ, OR, ID, OH, TX or NY.

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour, DOE

We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers.

*Must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program.*

The Mission of a Field Service Engineer is to install, modify and service complex semiconductor industry high vacuum equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of Company products at all types of customer field sites. The role also involves providing a wide range of technical assistance to customers and employees to ensure the successful completion of work and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the engineer is responsible for ensuring that business operations align with the Company goals.

What you'll do

  • Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installations, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide operational, maintenance, and training support to customers and colleagues.
  • Recommend equipment modifications or process improvements to enhance operation and performance.
  • Complete all necessary documentation promptly, including timesheets, expense reports, and field service reports, adhering to company policies and instructions.
  • Maintain and improve technical proficiency and troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, and software systems. Participate in continuing education as required.
  • Mentor and train less-experienced field service engineers.
  • Handle customer service issues to ensure high customer satisfaction and maintain a positive reputation for the company and equipment.
