Job summary

Block Imaging Parts & Service LLC is seeking a field service technician to deliver high-quality maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical imaging equipment across the United States. The role requires traveling to customer sites, diagnosing complex issues, and ensuring OEM specifications are met.

You will install, test, and maintain imaging systems, document activities, and provide training to end users while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3-7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent.
• Ideal candidate will have service experience related to GE MR and/or CT imaging equipment.
• Willingness to travel frequently (Frequent driving 30%+).
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills across electronic, mechanical, and network systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and resolve advanced electronic, mechanical, and network issues.

Job Description Statement:

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical service and support to medical imaging customers in the Southeast Michigan region with some travel to the West Michigan as needed. The technician will install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with all operational and safety standards. Working independently in the field, this position diagnoses and resolves technical issues while adhering to OEM specifications, industry regulations, and company quality requirements. Through expert problem-solving and customer-focused service, this role helps ensure reliable imaging performance for healthcare partners.

Essential Job Duties:

• Service, install, evaluate, and maintain medical imaging equipment across the United States.

Requirements

Experience and Education Requirements:

Preferred Experience

• 3-7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent driving 30%+, Load, transport, deliver parts/equipment. Meet driver eligibility requirements. Minimum age 21, refer to company vehicle policy.

This role may involve

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout various work environments for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching to access and service equipment.

• Manual dexterity to handle tools, small components, and electronic parts.
• Visual acuity and color perception sufficient to read schematics, calibrate equipment, and identify wiring or indicators.
• Ability to communicate clearly with healthcare and related facility staff, as well as document service activities accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in any situation where it is necessary.
• Compliance with hospital health and safety requirements. Ability to safely operate and enter/exit vehicles, drive for extended periods and work in varied environmental conditions with potential exposure to machinery, noise, and hazardous materials.

The base pay range for this position is:

• Min $90,000 - Max $135,000
