Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Field Service Engineer to deliver skilled on-site service, repair, maintenance, and support for our vacuum pump systems. You will inspect and troubleshoot equipment, perform installations, and document activities while serving as the on-site contact for customers.

You will join a dynamic field service team, report to the Operations Manager, and travel regularly within your territory. Strong self-management and customer-service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training in electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics.
• 1–2 years of experience maintaining and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience in an industrial, highly technical service environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme temperatures.
• Fluent in English with a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair vacuum pumps and systems during planned and ad hoc visits.
• Installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.
• Report into the Field Service Manager and coordinate with the team.

Job description

Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers’ equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

You will

• Report into the Field Service Manager.
• Conduct planned and ad hoc visits to inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair various vacuum pumps and systems. You will also diagnose any issues to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document activities.
• Be the on-site contact, providing service recommendations and addressing customer needs promptly.

Your skills and experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required with technical training in electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics perferred. Knowledgeable of HVAC preferred.
• You have 1-2 years of experience, maintaining and repairing various types of mechanical and electrical equipment, preferably on vacuum pumps or systems.
• Aspiration to keep up to date with the latest technical developments
• Experience in a service position in an industrial and highly technical environment
• Able to work independently with strong self-management and professionalism. Able to complete work within assigned deadlines. Computer proficiency as required for communicaiton, research, work orders and programming various controllers. Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis and work in industrial environments including extremes in temerature with continuous walking, reaching, bending, and kneeling.
• Extensive travel to customer locations, including out-of-town and overnight travel. Available for a rotating schedule of on-call work on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area territory.
