Job summary

Socomec Sas seeks a Field Service Technician I to perform professional field services at client sites, including transformer surveys, startup, commissioning, and maintenance on Powersmiths and Socomec products. You will coordinate travel, review instructions, and deliver on-site work with a focus on safety and quality.

This entry-level position offers growth through hands-on training and exposure to critical power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred or equivalent electrical or power electronics field experience or related military experience.
• Strong understanding of, or willingness to learn and adhere to, health and safety regulations and protocols including OSHA 1910 and NFPA 70E.
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, electrical code, transformers, power electronics, PDU, UPS, energy storage systems (ESS), and static transfer switches (STS).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver the highest level of customer service while working independently.
• Demonstrated ability to plan travel, develop and execute complex scheduling of client site visits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and professional conduct at all times.
• Coordinate travel and site access to secure environments.
• Deliver on-site activities and timely reports.
• Collaborate with client engineers, contractors, and contacts to meet project requirements.
• Review instructions, manuals, and drawings to execute work safely.
• Escalate issues with technical support and management.
• Continuously learn to support Powersmiths and Socomec products.
