Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Technician for heavy equipment in Oxnard, CA. The role involves diagnosing and repairing equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes and skid steers in a local Oxnard territory (roughly 30–40 miles).

Training/shadowing for 2–5 months is provided before independent field work. The position offers a long-term opportunity with a family-owned dealer, including a company vehicle, profit sharing, and structured pay

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment repair experience across John Deere, Komatsu or CAT.
• Strong diagnostic/troubleshooting ability across mechanical/hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Eager to develop technically and progress into senior roles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment in the field within the Oxnard local territory.
• Perform complex repairs covering hydraulics, electrical, and component rebuilds; Tier 4 experience is beneficial.
• Complete an initial 2–5 month workshop-based training/shadowing before moving to more independent field work.
• Work primarily in the field with workshop support as required; weekends/overtime as projects demand.
• Clear development path to further technical or supervisory roles.

Are you a Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician looking to step into an advanced-level role where your troubleshooting skills are valued, your technical ability is developed through structured modules, and you can progress toward Master Technician?

On offer is a long-term opportunity with a family-owned heavy equipment dealer supporting a wide variety of construction customers, where you’ll be backed by a large team of technicians and developed through continual competency reviews and skill-based pay progression.

With continued expansion across multiple locations and more sites opening soon, they are looking to add an experienced technician to help meet customer demand while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

In this role, you’ll cover a local territory around Oxnard (typically within 30–40 miles), diagnosing and completing complex repairs on construction and industrial equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, backhoes, and skid steers. You’ll work primarily in the field, with workshop support when required, and you’ll start with a 2–5 month workshop-based training/shadowing period.

This role would suit a technician with John Deere, Komatsu or CAT experience who wants to sharpen diagnostics, rebuild components, and progress into Master Technician with routes into Technical Communicator or Supervisor.
