Job Description Summary

The Field Service Engineer 1 (CINCINNATI, OHIO) for BD Pyxis Dispensing Devices is responsible for providing efficient and effective field service support to BD dispensing customers within a territory, including service, repair, preventive maintenance, calibration, installations, and support for Sales and Implementation teams.

The role supports BD Medication Management solutions, specifically the Pyxis automated dispensing systems, which enhance medication safety and efficiency.

This is a remote, field-based position with daily travel within the Cincinnati area. A company vehicle is provided, and a valid driver’s license is required. Up to 5% overnight travel may be necessary.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing remote and on-site technical support for BD Pyxis systems in healthcare facilities.
• Responding to work orders, diagnosing issues, and resolving hardware/software problems.
• Performing preventive maintenance, installations, repairs, and calibration.
• Managing inventory and supporting sales and implementation teams.
• Continuing training and professional development.

Qualifications include:

• Associate Degree in Healthcare Technology or 3+ years of related experience supporting hardware/software applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing environment.
• Knowledge of computer electronics, Windows OS, and networks.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift at least 70 pounds.

BD prioritizes on-site collaboration, requiring at least 4 days per week in-office for most roles. Employment may be contingent upon proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
