Job summary

Equiliem is seeking a Field Service Technician/Field Service Engineer in the Houston area to install, start-up, commission, and service centrifugal compressor packages and related equipment at customer sites.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of field service experience, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to work independently in the field. Travel up to 75% across the US, Canada, Mexico, and beyond is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certs preferred.
• 3–5 years field service/maintenance experience preferred.
• Engineering degree may be considered for engineer-level roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose issues and implement corrective actions with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical support to customers and internal teams.
• Work with maintenance, engineers, production, and plant leadership at customer sites.
• Document work orders and field reports promptly.
• Issue reports on equipment performance to engineering and service teams.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and instrumentation to evaluate systems.
• Conduct customer training programs as required.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades during visits.
• Adhere to all safety requirements and PPE usage.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
