Job summary

DNI Emerging Technologies in Fort Stewart, GA seeks a Field Service Engineer to support Army SEPM. You will provide Lower Tactical Internet (LTI) NETOPS support and oversee fielding, testing, training, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, operations and installation for tactical networks.

Responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date LTI software, troubleshooting C5ISR equipment, coordinating with PEO/PMs, and conducting on-the-job training. Travel up to 50% CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of integration, configuration, and troubleshooting CS systems fielded to Army BCTs.
• Experience in training, fielding, and support of C5ISR systems listed.
• Knowledge of waveform families (SINCGARS, SATURN, VULOS, NB, MANET, TSM, MUOS) and COMSEC devices/tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide LTI NETOPS support to the Integrated Tactical Network and CS forces, including fielding, testing, training, troubleshooting, maintenance, operations and installation.
• Ensure Tactical Networks are planned, configured, and perform per the Commander's requirements; provide network engineering support.
• Support Unit Exercises CONUS/OCONUS as required.
• Maintain LTI software and provide updates as needed.
• Troubleshoot, install and maintain C5ISR equipment; design and install portions of network infrastructure.

Job description

DNI Emerging Technologies is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer to support the Army Systems Engineering and Program Management Services (Army SEPM) at Fort Stewart, GA.

The Field Service Engineer will:

• Provide Lower Tactical Internet (LTI) NETOPS support to the Integrated Tactical Network (LTI) and Capability Set (CS) forces assigned to include fielding, testing, training, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, operations and installation
• Ensure that Tactical Networks are adequately planned, configured, and perform IAW the Commander's communication requirements through providing network engineering, satellite communications, architecture, analysis, development, and network operations support
• Support all Unit Exercises as required CONUS and OCONUS
• Ensure that all LTI software is the latest version and provide updates accordingly
• Troubleshoot, Install and provide maintenance of C5ISR equipment
• Design, modify, and install portions of the network infrastructure using software applications which manage the Tactical Network
• Direct, advise or assist in conducting regular, special and integrated system test programs
• Prepare and conduct special reports and presentations pertinent to company products and services, field operations or other applications
• Plan, prepare and conduct on-the-job training as required in support of the foregoing activities
• May provide work mentorship for lower level employees
• Advise customer and contractor personnel of company requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Knowledge and understanding of integration, configuration, and troubleshooting of CS systems that are currently being fielded to Army BCTs (WIN-T Inc2, tactical radio systems, JCR/JBC-P, MNVR, etc.)
• In-depth experience in training, fielding, and support the C5ISR systems mentioned above
• Experience/familiarity with the family of waveforms, including but not limited to, Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio System (SINCGARS), Second generation Anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO (SATURN), Very High Frequency/Ultra High Frequency (VHF/UHF) Line of Sight (VULOS), Warrior Robust Enhanced Network (WREN) Narrowband (NB), Tactical Scalable Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET), the Tactical Scalable Mobile (TSM) and WREN-TSM, Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), and Radio Services products including the enterprise Over the Air Management (eOTAM)
• Experience/familiarity with the family of Software Defined Radio (SDR) communications, to include but not limited to, the Leader Radio, Manpack, and Combat Net Radio (CNR) Tactical radios and radio requirements
• Knowledge and understanding current/future Force tactical and strategic military communications networks, as well as the architecture, protocols, security, network management and physics underlying these systems
• Knowledge and understanding of Communications Security (COMSEC) requirements for waveforms and SDR systems mentioned above. Experience/familiarity with the family of COMSEC devices and planner tool including but not limited to Automated Communications Engineering Software (ACES), Simple Key load (SKL), Tactical Key Loader (TKL), Next Generation Load Device-Small (NGLD-S)
• The ability to conduct technical coordination between PEO, PMs and units
• The ability to conduct and coordinate sustainment/refresher training

Education and Certification

• A relevant degree, professional qualifications or equivalent military experience in CMF 25 or MOS 18E
• CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification preferred

Physical Demands

• Required to Deploy to austere locations and climb in and around military vehicles of all types.
• About 50% travel required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must have an active security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
