Job summary

Trojan Technologies is seeking a Field Service Engineer in the United Kingdom to support municipal and industrial UV equipment through installation, start-up, warranty and maintenance. You will visit customer sites and perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to ensure peak performance.

This remote/field-based role requires extensive travel across Europe (EMEA), with about 80% time on customer sites and overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary accreditation in electrical or electronic discipline.
• Experience in a field service role in Water/Wastewater/Industrial area is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of working with PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Install, start-up, warranty and maintenance for municipal and industrial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on-site and remotely as needed.
• Train site personnel and advise customers to optimise equipment use.
• Travel within EMEA, approximately 80% of time on customer sites including overnights.

The Field Service Engineer is the responsible contact person for our customers throughout the entire product life cycle of our solutions. They will visit our customers on site and help them solve various problems, from installation and preventive maintenance to electrical troubleshooting.

This position is part of the Field Service Team Europe and will be remote/field-based.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

In this role you will be responsible for the installation, start-up, warranty, post warranty and maintenance for our Municipal and Industrial equipment during the lifecycle of our products.

Predominantly customer-based, your tasks will include electrical and mechanical service, advanced troubleshooting, training of site personnel and advising customers and partners to optimize the use of the UV equipment.

Time will be allocated to administrative works at your home office. Travel within EMEA will be required for the role. You will spend approximately 80% of your time on customer sites including overnights.

Are you qualified?

The essential requirements of the job include:

• A post-secondary accreditation in an electrical or electronic discipline
• Experience in working in a field service role or in an inhouse maintainance role within the Water / Wastewater / Industrial area
• Knowledge and experience of working with PLC
