Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Field Service Dispatcher in Houston. You will organize daily dispatches for field technicians, coordinating with branch and operations managers to ensure timely service calls and equipment exchanges.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; knowledge of DOT/FMCR rules helps ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, schedule and dispatch Technicians within the Centralized branch territory utilizing system resources and map module to maximize efficiency.
• Drive accurate Service Repair time measurement by ensuring compliance with procedures.
• As needed, support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location or delivery time.
• Balance equipment repair with PM currency demands of on-rent equipment.
• Ensure necessary service vehicle parts inventory.
• Prioritize equipment repairs as necessary to minimize Service Repair time.
• Schedule off hour/emergency on-call duty with all field technicians.
• Ensure compliance with escalation procedure Optimize use of overtime and outside
• Manage and process invoicing of all Field Service Customer Owned Equipment repair, Damage/abuse and Warranty claim processes.
• Assign specific service trucks, as require.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communication.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

As an Field Service Dispatcher (CES) , you will be tasked with organizing the daily dispatch of Field Service Technicians for a metro area in a safe and timely manner. You will work closely with Centralized Branch/Operations Managers, Service Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure service calls and exchanges are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service.
