Job description

DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Technical specialist and primary customer support contact to diagnose and execute complex repairs to engine products at the customer’s site. We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Everett, WA. You will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • (Advanced): Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools
  • Larger more complicated engine rebuilds
  • Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

This position will require a Med-Card and completion of a DMV driving report. This position will be a part of the FTA pool, requiring an FTA Drug Test.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant field service work experience
  • Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
