Job summary

Rueter’s Equipment in Carroll, IA, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to service and repair agricultural and construction equipment. You will work on gas and diesel engines, diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, and keep equipment at peak performance.

This full‑time role mixes shop and field work, with occasional travel to customer sites. Requirements include 7+ years of CIH repair experience, own tools, a valid driver's license, and strong communication and

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of CIH repair experience.
Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
Valid driver's license with clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
Must possess your own tools.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

Perform shop-based repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Occasionally travel to customer locations to service equipment.
Accurately diagnose equipment problems and recommend effective repairs.
Determine necessary parts and supplies for repairs and perform quality work.
Follow proper safety procedures while working on and around equipment.
Meet deadlines and schedules for completing work assignments.
Occasionally operate a forklift to assist with heavy equipment and loading/unloading tasks.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, including time and materials used.
