Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Mobile Diesel Equipment Technician to provide on-site service across the assigned territory using a company-provided service truck. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment at customer locations, farms, and dealer sites, while delivering strong customer service and independent problem solving.

The role involves travel within the territory, performing preventative maintenance, and staying current with safety and technical training.

Qualifications

Experience servicing or repairing compact tractors, utility tractors, and agricultural/farm equipment.
Experience with heavy or construction equipment is a plus.
Experience with the brands listed (TYM, John Deere, Kubota, Mahindra, Massey Ferguson, Kioti, Bobcat, Case IH, New Holland, Gravely, Ferris, Hustler, Toro, Exmark, Scag, Bad Boy) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Travel throughout your assigned territory in a company-provided service truck.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-powered equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance and warranty repairs.
Repair diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, steering, drivetrain, and mechanical systems.
Use diagnostic software, scan tools, multimeters, service manuals, and schematics to identify equipment failures.
Complete electronic work orders, warranty documentation, and parts ordering.
Maintain service truck inventory and safely transport customer equipment.
Communicate repair recommendations and maintenance tips with customers.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing technical training.
