Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Diesel Engine Technician/Mechanic in Manassas, VA, to repair and rebuild engine products in the field and build strong customer relationships. You will apply documented procedures, schedule maintenance, and prepare parts and tools while completing required documentation.

The role requires significant field service experience, expert engine knowledge, and strong customer service skills. On-call weekends and DOT-related obligations may apply.

Qualifications

• Significant field service experience.
• Expert knowledge of engine products.
• Customer service experience.
• Experience coaching junior technicians.
• On-call weekends according to rotation plan.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and rebuilds on engine products in the field.
• Develop productive customer relations and ensure prompt and efficient attention to customer needs.
• Apply documented procedures and policies to complete repairs and schedule maintenance, including preparing required parts and tools.
• Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, time sheets, warranty claims and quality forms.
• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.
