Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on engines at customer sites in Morgan City, LA. The role emphasizes field service, on-site diagnostics, and diligent record-keeping.

You will work a 14/7 on-call schedule with 24-hour coverage, receive a sign-on bonus for external candidates, and relocation support. The position requires owning tools and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
• Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs on engine products in the field and different client sites, and boats.
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools
